I got an idea to make a set of books for my niece. This idea set me deep down the rabbit hole of bookbinding and I will never look at books the same again.
My idea for my niece was complicated so I thought I would make at least one book before I dove into a big project. I came up with a book of Presidents!

This book contains four signatures sewn together with a cardstock cover glued on. I used my Silhouette cutter to cut the cover design out of gold heat transfer vinyl and it ironed onto the paper perfectly! It needed a little punch so I used a black pen to outline the design.

I just put basic information about each President and a little fun fact at the bottom of each page. It was a big lesson on word processing and how to get the pages to print out properly. I do not have a program to do that for me so it was a lot of figuring out!
I think it turned out pretty swell for a first effort and gave me some much needed experience.
