Halloween Girl

(Originally posted on March 13, 2018)

I finally caved and got a cutting machine. I was familiar with the Cricut cutters for many years but found them to be too limiting. One summer I did a bunch of research and decided to get the Silhouette Portrait. I have been very happy with it and began making cards with it right away! This was a Halloween pop-up card that I made with one of my favorite vintage images.

Bird and Angel Cards

For the New Year I am finally getting around to posting this year’s Christmas card!

XMAS18-1

This card was designed around this beautiful, sparkly, pine cone fabric that I just had to get when I saw it!  I had some other ideas in my head for Christmas cards this year but they all when out the window when I saw this.  I had been cutting out some fabric on my Silhouette for another craft project so I just added this to the queue! Paris Birthday Card

So I have been trying not to buy so many craft supplies because I already have so many, but sometimes I just can’t resist! I picked up an Evolution Advanced die-cut and embossing machine at Tuesday Morning one day (something that happens fairly often I have found out,) so of course I had to get a bunch of stuff to use with it – sigh. However, it has been so much fun! I mostly got it for embossing since I have the Silhouette cutting machine, so when my friend’s birthday came around I decided to do a french themed card so I could use my “carte postale” embossing folder.
