For my dad’s birthday I wanted to make him a western themed card, and what is more western than cowboys! I had some pictures of the desert that I had taken so I started there.

For a run up for Halloween, I’m posting the book of magical things I made recently! I made it for a lucky little boy who has finally discovered Harry Potter. What better than a book full of magical and spooky things!

I made this card in the spring for some friends of mine who got married and I totally forgot to post it! So here it is.

I’ve taken a break from card making and made some books! I finally got some leather suitable for bookbinding so I made this sketchbook.
It has been a slow card month. I’ve been working on some book projects and getting ahead on holiday cards, but I did make this little baby shower card.
For my friend’s birthday I wanted to make a nice but relatively simple card. She likes bikes so a bicycle card!
This year for my sister’s birthday card I thought use a theme I hadn’t used in awhile, roosters! I also had an idea to incorporate metal into the card, I hadn’t utilized that for a long time, so now I’m on a patina-ed metal kick!
Finally a book post! I have been making these little chapbooks a lot. They are so handy and quick to put together. These books are so simple and portable and I make them with different papers for writing and drawing so you’re ready when the mood hits you!

I make them in all sorts of sizes and shapes and I’m going to start making some super tiny ones. The most common size I make is one made from a half a sheet of letter paper. I make all my books completely by hand with no heavy machinery (though I would love a heavy duty guillotine cutter!) and I thought I’d give a taste of what goes into them.
