It is Mother’s Day again! Flowers and birds are always a good choice for my mom and she likes birdcages so they all go together well. This year, however, the card needed a bit more so I added a hat!

[Mother’s day is coming soon! Here is a great card I made for my mom a couple years back, she loves flowers and there is such good vintage imagery out there. Originally posted 5/20/19]
Some people send their mothers flowers for Mother’s Day, I’m not one of those people, but I did send my mother a floral card! I went through my images and got out my Silhouette cutter and went to work.

The image I used is of these beautiful women dressed as flowers in what I believe is an old advertisement. I went a little crazy cutting out layers of the image on my Silhouette Portrait, but it was fun.

There is a certain murder mystery game that I enjoy playing with my niece and for her birthday this year I thought I would design a card with a mystery game theme. Well, this project got way out of hand and I ended up making a mini version of the game!

Bee and Butterfly Card
[This is my Easter card from a couple years ago. I am definitely seeing my love of bees repeated here! Originally posted 4/28/2019]
This year for Easter I decided to do a springy fun card. I got a bee image and some insect stamps and got started!

Seed Packet Card
As spring is coming soon, so this onion seed packet card is just the thing! The perfect chance for bees, flowers and a rich seed packet image.

Fashion Card
This simple but striking card featuring clothing accessories was for a friend of mine who shares my love of vintage fashion. With just a few design elements I was able to make a very stylish card!

Spread the Love Card
For Valentine’s Day this year I had a hard time getting inspired. I knew some of the design elements I wanted to use, but I had nothing to hold it together, and then I came up with the sentiment that I wanted to use inside and there it was! the Spread the Love Card.

Hearts Card
Here is a previous year’s Valentine’s Day card, I hope it inspires you, I know I could use some inspiration too! [Originally posted 2/16/19]
Valentine’s Day is a classic card making holiday for me. The first cards I remember making were Valentine’s using stickers and doilies and anything else my mother would put out to craft with. Too bad this holiday always sneaks up on me! I had to get some Valentine’s together quickly so I got out my die cut machine and went to work.

Lighthouse Card
Dad’s can be a bit tricky to make cards for, but I have some regular themes that I use. One my themes that I often use for my dad is boats and this year I mixed it up a bit by doing a lighthouse card (and sneaked a boat in there too.)

Flip Calendar
I am a calendar person. I always get at least one or two every year. Last year I picked up this cute little flip calendar that I loved having on my desk and I was going to look for a new one when I thought: Make your own! I was able to repurpose parts of the old calendar, make some new pages, and here it is!
