Dad’s can be a bit tricky to make cards for, but I have some regular themes that I use. One my themes that I often use for my dad is boats and this year I mixed it up a bit by doing a lighthouse card (and sneaked a boat in there too.)

When I got my Silhouette Portrait, one of the cards I really wanted to make was a card that looked like the TARDIS from Doctor Who. First I had to find the right colored blue paper and I found this cardstock that had a nice texture to it. Then I designed the entire card using the software that came with the Silhouette: and I had a TARDIS card!
As my mom has been sewing away this year, I went for a sewing themed card. So many options for cardmaking!
Time for a summery card! This was for my sister’s birthday and I wanted something bright and cheerful. How can you beat flowers, bees and a bonus butterfly!

So I was looking through my files (the things you do when you have time) and I found a card from last year that I never posted! I think it was a Birthday card for my mother and it is nice an flowery and springy, so here it is!
I have joined the ranks of the stay-at-home folks so I’m finally getting this card posted that I meant to do earlier in the month. But now a cheery birthday card seems like just the thing!
This year, for a friend’s birthday, I gave her the give of music, in the form of a micro SD card. So naturally the card was music themed and I wanted a way to hold this teensy little chip!
For my dad’s birthday I wanted to make him a western themed card, and what is more western than cowboys! I had some pictures of the desert that I had taken so I started there.
