Honeycomb Bee Card

For my niece’s birthday I made a bee card this year. It all started with an embroidery pattern and just grew from there!

Over the winter I started cross stitching some stuff for the holidays and then I just couldn’t stop! I came across this pattern and I thought it would make a great card.

Because of the size of the embroidery this card had to be a bit bigger than most, about 6″ x 8″, so I could have enough room to frame the image.

I used my Silhouette to cut and foil the honeycomb onto the vellum and also cut the background paper out to fit under it. And then I had to decorate it!

I got my metal stamps out and started stamping lots of bees! The oval charm was rather heavy so I decided to tie it onto the card as well as adding some sticky dots to the back of it to hold it in place. I also added one rhinestone bee just to mix things up, you can’t have too many bees on a card like this.

While I was happy to just keep adding bees, I thought some ladybug brads would be nice on the inside, but still one more bee!

The finished card! My niece loved it and it was fun to make such a grand card for her!
