I realized that I have quite the backlog of cards to post, so I’m working on catching up, it was a busy year last year! This Tim Holtz stamp set that I found in the clearance section at Joanns was just the thing for a card for one of my sisters.
The cats in this stamp set are definitely up to no good, so that’s where I started on this card. I wanted to use all the stamps in the set (I think I ended up using all but one quote stamp) and this tri-fold card gave me lots of space to use all the cats!
The cassette tape heart I found on the internet, (it’s a popular image I have since seen it on all sorts of things) and it fit in so well with these pesky cats.
I really liked the stencil that came with the set, so I sprayed down some printed paper with my glitter sprays and used the stencil on top with a white stamp pad. It picked up some of the blue of the sprays, but I liked the way it looked with the cats.

I stamped everything with a brown stamp pad, and used clear embossing powder on them. I used markers to give the images some color.
So this is the card with the left side open.
This is the card fully open. I did a fun aging on the paper inside, I toned it with a Distress Ink pad, linen, then crumpled the paper, flattened it out, then used another Distress Ink pad, walnut, to bring out the wrinkles.
The tri-fold card came with a pocket on the right side so I had to add a little surprise!

A pop out cat! The sock monkey brad is the fulcrum of the pop out and the extra crazy cat was perfect for this!
So much fun! It turned out that my sister had also picked up the same stamp set and she make me a thank you card with the same stamps!
