This year’s Mother Day card is a fun collage! I gathered together a bunch of images, some I printed, some I had collected, and put them all together with a bunch of charms to celebrate my mom.
The main theme of the card is sewing and fashion. Most of the images came from Dover Publications, they are a great source for images.
Even with all the images I needed a background paper. I embossed a piece of gold metallic paper and rubbed some copper metallic wax on it to bring out the design. The metallic paper took the embossing really well.
The best part was putting on all the charms and stuff. I got to sew on these fun buttons!
I put so many things on the front of the card that I covered up the inside front cover. Usually I don’t worry about the fasteners that I use showing, but this was just a mess! And I was able to use more of the images I had.
The finished card! This was so fun that I think I’m going to do a similar card for Father’s Day, I do love themed cards.
