Kittens like to sew, right? Or just play with thread! I made this cute kitten card for my sister’s birthday last year.
This was the cutest vintage image of these kittens playing with a mending basket. There were so many possibilities with it!
I started with using my Silhouette Portrait to cut out the left kitten so I could pop it out. I then experimented with some different embellishments. Glittering the blue bow was easy, but then I thought it would be fun to have dimensional string!
I tried using flocking powder and Glossy Accents to add something to the ball of string, but nothing looked right so I left it alone. But what if the string went inside the card! So after carefully gluing the string to the front of the card, I brought the string to the inside through a small hole.
I thought it would be fun to use my sewing stamps on the inside. I stamped and embossed them in black and used markers to color the images.

A bow on the front and the card was finished!
