For Mother’s Day this year I made a quick but cute ladybug card using some new dies and some old embellishments!
The Spellbinders ladybug die set that I got had hot foil plates so that was a fun new thing to play with (I don’t have the whole Glimmer Foil system, but I made do with an iron) and they turned out okay. I really liked the sentiment that came with it and felt it was good for the holiday!
I also used an embossing folder that I hadn’t had a chance to use yet and I rubbed it with a pastel to bring out the texture. To finish off the front of the card I added some crocheted flowers that I made many years ago, and kept because you never know when you want them!
On the inside I went with a bee theme, I had been wanting to use this bee paper for awhile.
The finished card!
I hope all the mother’s have a wonderful day!
