This year I went through a bunch of images and ideas for my Valentine’s Day cards but this pair of birds was the one I kept going back to.
I started with the image of the birds and used my Glossy Accents to give some dimension to the heart.
I tried using a really fun marker around the edges that goes on silver and leaves a colored edge, I used red for this card, but the silver kept flaking off of the photo paper so I had to redo the silver with an oil based marker. I printed out the background paper in a soft blue to feature the image.
I wanted to put a sentiment on the front and I chose this “Just for you” stamp, embossed with red glittery embossing powder.
I had decorated some paper with glitter sprays and some stamps and I used it in the inside. The stamped sentiment on the inside was from an old Anna Griffin stamp set and I also embossed it with clear powder with red ink. And I couldn’t resist adding a cute heart brad!
Some ivory ribbon finished off the card!
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
