Victorian Frame Card

This year I got my cards done early! I wanted to make a card that could feature many different images so I came up with the frame idea.

I had designed the frame last winter, so it was easy to put all this together. I used my Foil Quill with my Silhouette to cut and foil the frames.

I was using up paper that I already had, I didn’t buy a sheet of paper for these cards! The card I used for the frames was some extra left over from bookmaking, it is nice and thick which took the foil beautifully.

Such a nice deep impression! I also glitter sprayed the cardstock for the base of the cards. When you start early you can wait for things to dry a long time. Then I started embellishing the images! I used glitter and flocking powder.

It is always fun to decide what you want to embellish. And it makes it not just something you printed out.

Assembled cards

After assembling the cards I felt they needed something else so I cut out a bunch of snowflakes and ornaments on my die cutting machine.

I had this great textured silver paper that looked great for the snowflakes.

My “Christmas Tidings” stamp worked perfectly with these Victorian cards. And I used different accent paper in the inside (yay for using up paper!)

I had so many images, I hope I got all of them in the post!

Merry Christmas!
