This simple but striking card featuring clothing accessories was for a friend of mine who shares my love of vintage fashion. With just a few design elements I was able to make a very stylish card!

This card started with some line drawings and a scrap of teal cardstock. I wanted to use up this odd size of cardstock, that folded up into a square and these two vintage black and white line drawings of fashion accessories that I found in my files. I couldn’t decide which one to use, so I printed out both and then added some color with my brush markers. They both were good, but I ended up liking the image on the right for this project. Maybe the other will show up in some future project!

I used my cutting machine and Foil Quill to write out the word “fashion” and cut out the placard. I love all the colors of foil that there are, the burgundy paper and blue foil were just the thing. I then added some floral Japanese washi paper for some elegant accents.

On the inside of the card, since there was some extra real estate, I stamped this set of shoes on different colors of paper and cut them out. This was the first time I got to use these stamps and that is always fun!
The finished card.
