Christmas Bunnies Card

It was a bit of a photo finish, but my Christmas cards are done! After a bunch of ideas I came up with winter bunnies!

Christmas bunny cards

This year I really wanted to use my Tim Holtz birch tree embossing folder. It was one of the first ones I ever bought and I still hadn’t used it! I embossed some brown cardstock with it and used white paint to color the trees. I also added a shadow to bring out the embossing. It followed to use my winter branches die set (also from Tim Holtz,) but that did not make much of a card. After looking at some vintage Christmas images I was inspired to add bunnies!

These bunnies were so cute and I thought about just cutting the image out, but I wanted a nice white silhouette. So via the magic of computers I made my own bunny shapes based on the image and I was able to cut them out on my Silhouette Portrait.

But having them just be white paper was super boring, so I flocked them!

So much better being fuzzy! I then used the branch die cuts to fill in around the bunnies and added glossy berries for color.

I couldn’t decide which branches I liked best, so I used both. They got some glitter sprays because everything at the holidays should have some sparkle.

I chose this simple stamp for the inside of the card, I really loved the message for Christmas this year. I used gold embossing powder to make it pop. To finish the card I went for a similar idea that I used for my Thanksgiving cards and literally tied it all together with some baker’s twine.
