Ornament Christmas Card

To get into the Christmas spirit here is a cute card I made a few years ago! (Originally posted 11/28/18)

To get into the holiday spirit here is last year’s Christmas card!  I wanted to use these ornament files that I had got from the Silhouette store and paper I had bought from the Paper Source, so I came up with this card.  I look back on this card and it seems so simple!

I used my Silhouette to make most of this card.  I did quite of bit of designing with their software to weld and alter the ornaments. The frame, which included the silhouettes of the ornaments was cut out with the machine out of the card itself. The fancy paper was glued behind it. I also cut out the blue ornaments and glittered them after cutting. The card looked kind of plain so the gold and silver foil were cut out and added later.

I also ran out of paper! I didn’t get enough of the fuchsia paper and the art store stopped carrying it.  None of the other colors of paper looked quite right, so I ended up with a few of the white version, which also turned out nice too!

The “Joy to the World” stamp was embossed onto vellum, two different styles, green glitter on plain vellum and silver tinsel on gold vellum.

They seem super easy, but when making over 15 cards it can get a little overwhelming! I’m already working on this year’s cards so I will be sharing them soon!
