So I was looking through my files (the things you do when you have time) and I found a card from last year that I never posted! I think it was a Birthday card for my mother and it is nice an flowery and springy, so here it is!

My mom likes roses so I started with this vintage image. I gave it a gold edging, I think I was super into my metallic waxes, so I think that is what I used. Messier than using a gold marker but I went with it.
I really played around with the embossing for this card. It looks like I used a pink paper and then rubbed pink ink on it- probably Vintage Velvet (a Tim Holtz product) and then sprayed it down with some clear glitter spray.
I spruced up the image with a bit of Glossy Accents dimensional medium on the bud and added the metal butterfly charm. I also rubbed some metallic wax, this time blue, on the butterfly to give it some color. Most of it rubbed off, but enough stayed to color it.

I loved the font in the graphic, I couldn’t find a matching one for the inside of the card, but I did get to use this cool Victorian font.

Fun and flowery!
I have finally finished one my book projects and I hope to get that posted next week!
Stay safe and healthy.
