I’m a little behind schedule in my posting, but better late than never! Here is the Easter card I sent out, with a message of hope.

This card actually started with the fabric bobinette. I got scraps of it from work and it was really great to work with. It was cotton, so I could iron and starch the net and even tint the color with some alcohol ink. The next challenge was how to attach it to the card. I decided to make a frame to stick the net to.

Using my Silhouette cutting machine, I designed a frame and using some shapes I had purchased, and combined them together. I always go for some sort of springy theme and I liked using the leaves and a bird to add a pop of color to the card.
Each bird was colored using markers and ink to make them more birdlike and I sprayed each leaf with some color and they all got a spritz of glitter spray!

For the “Hope” label I used both of my machines, using the Foil Quill for the lettering and my die cutting/embossing machine to cut and emboss them. The foil I used was rose gold, it is hard to see in the pictures, but it related nicely to the pink bird. The frame die was a bit plain, so I drew around the embossed edges with a couple of different gold markers.

And of course, at the end I felt the card needed just one more thing, so I punched out a bunch of pink circles (using an old school 1/4″ paper punch) and glued them to the sprig. To make them more interesting I put a dollop of clear Glossy Accents dimensional medium on each pink “berry.”
The finished card!

I hope everyone is safe and healthy and had a great Easter!
