I have joined the ranks of the stay-at-home folks so I’m finally getting this card posted that I meant to do earlier in the month. But now a cheery birthday card seems like just the thing!
This was for a friend’s birthday and I wanted something bright and fun for her. I hadn’t pulled out my cactus stamps in awhile so I designed this fun little card with them.
I did this whole card the old fashioned way (meaning no cutting machines!) and got to stamping. I always stamp a bunch of them so I can pick and choose. I also got to use my “hello” stamp which was a first. Then I cut all the shapes out, with scissors and started playing with them. I had a lot so I put cactus bits all over the card!
I’ve also been trying to do more brush calligraphy and I managed to do “Happy Birthday” on the inside of the card. It never seems to turn out the way I want to but it worked.
The finished card! It was a fun card to make and put together and she loved it!
