This year, for a friend’s birthday, I gave her the give of music, in the form of a micro SD card. So naturally the card was music themed and I wanted a way to hold this teensy little chip!

This card started with this great cassette tape paper and this long scrap of orange cardstock that I came across in my stash. The long piece of cardstock was perfect for making a tri-fold card. To jazz up the edge I thought it could be fun to make it look like a record with just a piece of black paper and a silver gel pen.

The rest was making the rest of the card rock! I got out some more fun paper and some of my glittery washi tape and started decorating.

Who can resist sparkly star tape on the edge, so glam rock!
Then I needed to figure out a way to include the SD card. Of course this was the perfect excuse to make a teeny tiny envelope. This was the only thing I cut out on my Silhouette cutting machine. I used the dimension of a coin envelope and scaled it down.

The cutest thing! A simple pocket made of guitar paper held the envelope in harmony with the rest of the card.

I used one of my favorite retro fonts for the “Happy Birthday” and more groovy cassette tape paper to finish off the card.

A fun little card and my friend loved the music!
