It has been a slow card month. I’ve been working on some book projects and getting ahead on holiday cards, but I did make this little baby shower card.
There are so many cute vintage images out there for babies it was hard to choose one! I opted to use this huge safety pin (or teeny tiny baby?) image because I just think it is funny.
I used my bunny and giraffe stamps, cut them out and colored them. This first version of the bunny was too dark and I went for a lighter pink in the end. The really fun part of this card was flocking the clasp of the safety pin.
The original color of pin was a sickly pink but I edited the color to purple and used purple flocking to make it fuzzy. Different textures are always fun!
I had an urge to use some ribbon so I finished the card off with a ribbon. That safety pin is not so scary anymore!
