It was a very busy holiday season for me, even almost busier after the holidays were over! I did have a couple of birthday cards to make that I had to make on the fly.

The first one is a child’s card that I relied on my Silhouette Portrait to help me get it done fast. I had picked up these cute woodland creatures from their store of designs, originally to maybe make a card for my niece, but now for another little girl! These guys turned out great and I even used the machine to write everything for the card.
Using the Silhouette to do all the lettering gives me an excuse to break out with my gel pens, I also wrote in the inside with it as well, but sorry, no pic.
The next card was for a more adult friend!
For this card I took advantage of my own library of vintage images. I don’t know what a bingo game card has to do with shoes, but it felt right. The double sided cardstock helped flesh the card out some more and the velum gave it a more layered look which I always love!

I finished the inside with a couple of stamps, my favorite typewriter “Happy Birthday” stamps and this cute vintage lady that I also had never used.
While I like to take more time with my cards it is always a good reminder for me to use more of the things I have at hand. You almost always can make something cute!
