For the New Year I am finally getting around to posting this year’s Christmas card!
This card was designed around this beautiful, sparkly, pine cone fabric that I just had to get when I saw it! I had some other ideas in my head for Christmas cards this year but they all when out the window when I saw this. I had been cutting out some fabric on my Silhouette for another craft project so I just added this to the queue!
Then I couldn’t decide which image to use with it so I did some of both! They both have a magical quality that worked well with the fabric and added a vintage-y feel to the card.
These were my somewhat simpler card compared to last years and even though they look just as complicated they actually came together pretty quickly. I got to use all the crafty stuff I had gotten for Christmas cards, including the stamp, washi tape and the Tim Holtz wintery branches die cuts.
And of course some beautiful red handmade paper that looked so good and festive on the cardstock!
It is hard to see but I also added some white flocking and a touch of glitter to the images, so much fun!
I wish everyone had a great Holiday and a wonderful New Year’s! I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions, but I am going to try and continue to post more regularly, improve the site and I definitely have plans for more books and always more cards!
