This card was for my friend’s little girl, only 3 years old, and I really had no idea what to make for her. However, I’d been wanting to make an instant book as a card so I started there. I have all these great toy circus images that I got ages ago from The Vintage Workshop and I was able to use them all for this card!
I won’t go to into how to make an instant book, I learned from the fabulous book “How to Make Books” by Esther K. Smith, and they are super fun to make.
As you can see, you make it out of just one sheet of paper and the book is formed by how you fold and cut the paper. I used an 11×17 sheet of paper and it worked well for a card size.
This was a great way to use these images and my friend really loved the card! (Her daughter is only three after all.)
